What is Mediation?
Mediation is sometimes described as a process of negotiation between those involved in a dispute facilitated by a neutral and impartial person whose role is to assist the parties to identify the means to resolve their dispute and thereby to come to a suitable settlement.

The Mediation Process
The mediation process begins when the parties to a dispute agree to mediate.
The next step will be to identify and appoint a mediator acceptable to each of the parties. Sometimes one party will take the initiative and propose a list of candidates from which a choice is made. Alternatively, each party may make proposals.
